What people say, what they mean

People with Autism have difficulty reading other people's minds. Think everyone does? On the contrary, I bet you do it quite well. For example, if I say,

"Would you mind passing me the ketchup?"

I am not really thinking that I don't know if it bothers you to pick up ketchup and hand it to me. What I am thinking is that I want some ketchup and I want you to hand the bottle to me so that I can have some.
